The Magick of Crystals-A Guide to Mastering Astral Projection

 Excerpt

Lucid dreaming shares a very special connection to astral projection. In fact, its connection is so close that most use lucid dreaming to trigger full blown astral projections. You might ask me, how could lucid dreaming lead to astral projection? To answer this question, I must first explain what is actually happening during lucid dreams.

Before I begin to explain the actual phenomenon of lucid dreaming, I need my readers to understand that any terms used are generic. There is no way of actually knowing the name, if one exists, of realms and planes in the spirit world. To help rectify this, those who write and teach on these subjects use names that are generally agreed on in order to attempt to describe the particular plane, or dimension in question. Therefore, you will find many authors using the same terminology to describe these spiritual realms. It is even more important to note that this is not always the case. This intricate play on words serve only to further confuse those new to astral projection- it can be quite intimidating. My humble suggestion is to focus more on understanding the concept being described, rather than the terminology used itself. Having said this, let’s move on to understanding lucid dreams.

Dreams occur in the spirit world in an isolated location-where it occurs no one can be sure. For the purpose of this lesson, we will call this location “the dream room”.  During sleep there is an exchange of energy that takes place between the physical body and one’s spiritual body. To grasp this concept, imagine a patient resting in bed hooked to machines and IV’s that deliver the necessary nutrients the patient needs-this is normal dreaming. During the process of normal dreaming you have no conscious control over the dream environment. Compare this to someone under anesthesia; they are on some level unconscious and incapable of effecting change in their environment.  The individual is helpless to react to the dream images that are on constant display. Now, picture a doctor coming over to the patient and turning down the amount of anesthesia delivered to the patient. The patient becomes more aware of their environment and has more control. This is lucid dreaming; you now have some level of control over the dream images. Astral projection can occur when the patient in this scenario has enough consciousness to move beyond the dream location. To step outside of the dream room during lucid dreaming triggers astral projection. To master this technique one must use their most powerful tool for creating change: their intent. Intent is the fuel that drives the consciousness in the spiritual world.
